A reminder for our younger readers: animation is a sequence of still drawings. The illusion of movement appears when these drawings are shown one after another at a certain speed. Animation commonly uses 24 frames per second for fluid motion. These GIFs use around 12 frames per second — enough to study a movement and preview it.
